We started of the module by forming groups, i was grouped with Sia Man Sheng, Chew Huang Yet and Chin Yin Teng (Group 6). In the theme of mythology we focused on 3 gods or deities that are popular in Japanese Culture, Oni, Inari Okami and Morishio. Under these 3 myths, we began doing our research on their history, meaning and evolution.

In the slide above, we elaborated in our research, diving deep into the origins and gods of the myth. Finding out more about the spiritual practices and how they affect the people.

Next was the trip to Japan. During the trip, we discovered more about the myths by interviewing the locals. Some were very helpful in providing new data for us. And from that data were able to make few conclusions to our research and start designing for our final out come.

In this presentation, we analysed our data and found that much of the popular myths are no longer practiced by the youth of today. As one of the goals for our outcome, we wanted to change the mindset of the younger generation and reignite their beliefs in traditional mythology.

As our final outcome, we decided on creating a new or more openly accepted way for mythology to be reintroduced into the lives of the youth, that is via fashion and clothing trends. Our Brand Shou Gear was created as a way to showcase different gods and mythologies through fashion and streetwear, making it more common amongst the you and those who follow trends.
