Feedback

Week 1
I 1st presented Mr Shamsul with 2 small items and their box designs, namely a body shop lotion tub and a small lighter. After seeing the box designs he was satisfied with them but suggested I change the ligther to another item. So i presented him with 2 more small items and the hand sanitiser bottle was approved.

Week 2
I showed Mr Shamsul both of my printed and cut mock-ups for the lotion tub and hand sanitiser and he was satisfied with the design. Both box designs included all the little details he had thought us on the day. However, i personally will make some minor changes and adjustments to the box designs to make them better for holding the product as the rough mock-ups are slightly inaccurate in measurements and shape.

Week 3
Exercise 01 - I showed both my final boxes in class, Mr Shamsul accepted the designs. However, there are some minor changes that should be done for the construction as free hand cutting left the edges a bit rough, but that should be corrected in lazer cutting or plotting for final submission. Furthermore, some changes like sizing and hook cutouts will be added to the final design later. Mr Shamsul also wanted me to add in a video instruction of how the products are opened and closed / removal of product. Direct Comment Feedback From Mr Shamsul : Overall the construction of the box is okay except some issues on the part of the box which is not appropriate as mentioned during the verbal feedback. Exercise 02 - My concept and idea was ok. But i should do more sketches for ideas.

Week 4
I presented my full moodboards for all the ideas for the playing cards. My idea was accepted however Mr Shamsul wanted to see a clearer idea for the Imaged cards such as the King, Queen and so on. So I presented a sketch which he accepted.

Week 5
No Class.

Week 6
On the submission - Mr Shamsul had seen my playing card submission and was satisfied with the design as it reflected the design theme i choose. However, he didn't like the typeface used on the cards and advised me to resubmit a set with corrected text.

Week 7
No Class.
