Instructions
Final Project
The final project is an Ipad or digital version of our publishing book design that involved animating looping gifs of the illustrations in the book design. Note that not all looping gif illustrations have to be complicated, some can be subtle to add feeling and texture to the digital book.

Feedback
Week 11 :
Mr Vinod advised me to quickly finish the updates on my blog as marking was coming up and finals week is near.Week 12 :
Me Vinod is still not happy about my progress in the animations and blog updates and advised me to get it done as soon as possible.Week 13 :
Mr Vinod thought the line movement detail I added into the animations were nice but the text arrangements were predictable and boring. He also pointed out that my content page links didn't have rollover animations.Reflection
Experience
Week 11 - I had quite a bit of scheduling and timing issues that took up my time and i had problems updating my blogs and work progress. But nevertheless, I tried my best to push my efforts forward so that my work can be completed.
Week 12 - Similar to the previous week, my progress was slow moving. I felt very pressured to have to finish everything for submissions. I even had the stupid idea of dropping the module just to continue it in another semester, but I realised that it's too far into the semester to have all the efforts wasted. So i decided to just push through.
Week 13 - I manage to complete everything up until final project. Putting all my extra time into focusing on just completing the module as much as possible as submissions were next week. Despite some difficulties and receiving some less than satisfied feedback from Mr Vinod, I knew I had the right mindset to complete the module.
Observation
Week 11 - It seem pretty clear at this point that I was falling short of the rest of the class since most other students have completed their work. But everyone seemed very stressed as all modules were beginning to focus in on final projects.
Week 12 - Most students have a gloom look to their faces. Even the lecturer noticed our burnt out appearance. For the most part everyone manage to complete their work and update their progress on blogs.
Week 13 - It seemed Mr Vinod was happy about the progress of everyone's work, accept for mine. He was very specific about our submission with specific files and images to be uploaded to google drive.
Findings
Week 11 - In designing the layout for the Ebook, I noticed that flow and coherence doesn't apply so much as there are no spreads, only single pages. This makes it easier for me to create layouts that need to look synonymous but not flow from pages to page so much.
Week 12 - While looking up more references for my book, I found different artist who used different book designing techniques. Some started from illustrations and build a story around it, some made many draft sketches of their illustrations and arrangements while some would just build artworks and illustrations around their text layouts. Each designer was clear on why they used each technique. I found that building stories around illustrations was my preferred method of book designing.
Week 13 - I realised that as lacking as my artwork and illustrations were for my print book, my Ebook with all its moving designs really help the story come alive. The moving elements helped to set a tone in the book as well as the pace.
